Performing Arts Classes for Children in Medway

MAPA offers weekly performing arts classes for children aged 3 and above, delivered across two academy locations: MAPA Chatham and MAPA Rainham.

The Little Academy (Ages 3–5)

Our Little Academy is the perfect introduction to performing arts for young children. Children take part in three half-hour classes of Singing, Dancing and Acting.

• MAPA Chatham: 5:00–6:30pm

• MAPA Rainham: 10:00–11:30am

These sessions are fun, energetic, and nurturing, helping young performers build confidence, coordination, and imagination in a safe and supportive environment.

The Main Academy (Ages 6+)

For children aged six and above, MAPA offers the Main Academy, providing structured and inspiring training across all three disciplines.

• MAPA Chatham: 5:00–8:00pm

• MAPA Rainham: 10:00am–1:00pm

These classes focus on developing technique, performance skills, teamwork, and self-belief — all while having fun and making friends.

What to Expect Before Your Child’s Free Trial

Before your child attends their Free Trial, parents and carers will receive a confirmation email from MAPA with all the important information needed ahead of the session.

This includes:

• Arriving 15 minutes before the class start time

• Wearing comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for movement and dance

• Ensuring long hair is tied back and no loose jewellery is worn

• Bringing a drink and a snack for the short break between classes

This helps ensure every child feels prepared, relaxed, and ready to enjoy their experience.

What Happens During the Free Trial?

All MAPA classes are taught by industry-trained professionals with extensive experience working with children and young people.

From the moment they arrive, your child will:

At the end of the class, MAPA Principals and teachers will speak with parents and carers to:

• Highlight the progress they made during the session
