MAPA Performance: 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.'

Our most recent end of year production was Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.' which was our most complicated production to date. With a mighty amount of props, costumes and set, we really did take on a challenge! But it was all worth it for our brilliant students as they took to the stage and performed in some of Disney's most memorable musical numbers: 'Belle', 'Gaston', 'Be Our Guest' and the title number of the show, 'Beauty and the Beast'.

We don't do things by halves at MAPA and so our trusty sound technician was once again hired in to operate our sound and many microphones; the lighting was plotted for the entire show and a team of chaperones helped our ever-growing cast sort and organise the hired costumes for this behemoth of a show with dancing plates, forks and ketchup bottles!

Before 'Beauty and the Beast' we said goodbye to our wonderful Singing teacher David and welcomed the brilliantly talented Kieran Mellish to the MAPA family. Kieran musically directed 'Beauty and the Beast' and the show was a huge success.

We are very proud of all of our students at MAPA for their constant hard work and commitment to the Performing Arts!
