A Night to Remember – ‘Variety’ Delivered a Show-Stopping Senior Academy Showcase!

On Saturday 21 June, we proudly presented our Senior Academy’s first-ever cabaret-style performance — ‘Variety’.

While preparing for their end-of-term summer showcase, our Senior Academy students were also busy creating something entirely new: MAPA’s first-ever cabaret event! They worked incredibly hard behind the scenes, putting in extra hours to rehearse, learn songs, perfect harmonies, and memorise lyrics arriving half an hour early to their Saturday sessions to help piece the performance together under the guidance of our fantastic acting teacher, Adam. Their dedication and drive truly made this event something special.

This one-night-only performance was an unforgettable celebration of talent, creativity and teamwork, showcasing our oldest and most experienced students at their very best.

Parents, carers, friends and family joined us for an evening filled with excitement and emotion. Whether they were seasoned musical theatre fans or simply there to cheer on a loved one, every audience member was treated to something magical.

The showcase featured show-stopping numbers from iconic musicals such as Wicked, Hamilton, Waitress, The Greatest Showman, Witches of Eastwick, Mamma Mia, and more. Our students shone on stage, delivering performances full of confidence, character and charm.

‘Variety’ wasn’t just a performance — it was a testament to our students’ passion, perseverance and love for the arts. The result of months of hard work and commitment, the evening was a true celebration of everything MAPA stands for.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our rising stars. It was a night to remember — and one we’ll treasure for a long time to come.
